4) Remove and retain piston (7) and compression spring (9). Extract and discard the two 0-rings (8) of piston (7).
5) Inspect master cylinder inner section for scratches.
E. Assembly of brake master cylinder (Figure 203)
1) Equip piston (7) with two new 0-rings (8).
2) Put the spring (9) in the master cylinder body (10).
CAUTION : MOUNTING DIRECTION OF PISTON : CONE TOWARDS THRUST ROD.
3) Insert piston (7) equipped with the new 0-rings in body (10). Make sure not to damage the two 0-rings (8).
4) Install plug (5) equipped with two new 0-rings (4) on body (10) equipped with a new nylon seal (6).
5) Tighten the plug (5) by hand until the contact. Then, with a wrench, tighten in order to provide a .27 in (7 mm) rotation of plug (5) with respect to body (10).
6) Assemble thrust rod, spring (2) and retaining ring (3), then install the thrust rod assembly. Make sure not to damage the two 0-rings (4).

1. SERVICING
None
2. REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - BRAKE LININGS AND DISK (Figure 201)
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Sheet of plywood
- Clamp
B. Removal of brake linings
1) Block aircraft wheels.
2) Release parking brake (1).
3) Remove bolts (2) and washers (3).
4) Remove and, if necessary, discard back plate (8) assembly and thrust plate (6) assembly while holding both pistons (5) on cylinder (4).
5) Check brake disk (9) - refer to Paragraph 4.C.
C. Installation of brake linings
1) Install the wheel, if necessary - refer to 32-40-01, and the fairing.
2) Push both pistons (5) back onto cylinder (4) using a piece of plywood and a clamp.
3) Install thrust plate (6) assembly and back plate (8) assembly.
4) Install bolts (2) and washers (3).
5) Bleed the brakes - refer to 12-13-01.
6) Check for leakage at piston.
7) Remove shims.
8) Perform taxiing and braking tests. To break in linings, carry out three sharp consecutive braking operations which causes a sufficient heat to glaze the linings.
NOTE : Do not apply the parking brake when linings are warm as this may lead to blocking.
D. Removal / Installation of brake disk
Refer to 32-41-01.
