A. Tools and consumable materials - Lubricant (TB 04-004A) - Cleaning agent (TB 11-003) - Torque wrench 0 - 177 lbf.in (0 - 20 N.m) B. Removal of scissors 1) Apply parking brake. 2) Install a jack beneath front of aircraft - refer to 07-10-00. 3) Actuate jack to support front of aircraft without lifting nose wheel off from ground. 4) Remove fittings attaching lower scissors (19) to towing fitting (12) ; retain bolt (14), washer (17) and nut (16) ; discard cotter pin (15). 5) Hold both scissors (19) and (23) and remove fittings attaching upper scissors (23) to landing gear leg pad (24) ; retain bolt (26), washer (4) and nut (3) ; discard cotter pin (2). 6) Remove both scissors (19) and (23). 7) On work bench, if required, remove fittings attaching upper scissors (23) to lower scissors (19) ; retain bolt (21) equipped with grease nipple (20), friction washer (6), washer (8) and nut (9) ; discard cotter pin (10). 8) Clean all the parts with cleaning agent (TB 11-003). 9) Disassemble rings (5), (7), (13), (18), (22) and (25) (if necessary). C. Installation of scissors NOTE : Before the installation, check the condition of bolts (14), (21) and (26), bores of scissors (19) and (23), rings (5), (7), (13), (18), (22) and (25). Replace all the defective parts. CAUTION : RINGS (5), (7), (13), (18), (22) AND (25) ARE "HARD" INSERTED. 1) Install rings (5), (7), (13), (18), (22) and (25), if necessary. 2) Lubricate bolts (14), (21) and (26) with lubricant (TB 04-004A). 3) Assemble the two scissors (19) and (23) with bolt (21) equipped with a grease nipple (20), friction washer (6), washer (8) and nut (9). 4) Torque nut (9) - refer to 20-00-01. 5) Tighten with a new cotter pin (10). 6) Attach upper scissors (23) to leg pad (24) with bolt (26), washer (4) and nut (3). 7) Torque nut (3) - refer to 20-00-01.
