2. REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - MAIN LANDING GEAR HINGED STRUT (Figure 202) A. Tools and consumable materials - Lubricant (TB 04-004A) B. Removal of the main landing gear hinged strut NOTE : Hinged strut not equipped with grease nipples - see Detail B. Hinged strut equipped with grease nipples - see Detail C. 1) Jack up the aircraft - refer to 07-10-00. 2) Disconnect landing gear door - refer to 32-10-05. 3) Uncouple actuating cylinder (5) from lever (1) ; retain bolt (4), washer (3) and discard nut (2). 4) Manually unlock main landing gear - refer to Paragraph 1. Set the landing gear to up position and keep it in this position. 5) Remove lower attachment fitting for compensating spring (25) ; retain roller (20) and washer (21) and discard cotter pin (22). 6) Set the landing gear to down position. 7) Disconnect microswitch (19) supply connector from hinged strut. 8) Disconnect the front section of hinged strut (18) from landing gear ; retain bolt (12), shouldered washer (17) and washer (24). Discard nut (23). 9) Hold hinged strut and remove fitting attaching it to bearing (6) ; retain bolt (7), washer (8) and nut (9). Discard cotter pin (10). 10) If required, remove fitting attaching front section of hinged strut (18) to rear section of hinged strut (11) ; retain bolt (13), washer (14) and nut (15). Discard cotter pin (16). WA Validity : S / N 1 - 9999 32 30-03Page 201 (BA) JUN 01 C. Installation of the main landing gear hinged strut NOTE : Make sure, before installation, that the different parts have no wear or abnormal grooves, no friction or corrosion. Replace all the faulty parts. 1) Check hinged strut for misalignment - refer to Paragraph 4. 2) Lubricate all the hinges with lubricant (TB 04-004A). 3) If necessary, assemble front section of hinged strut (18) to rear section of hinged strut (11) with bolt (13), washer (14) and nut (15). S/N 1 - 1108. 1110 - 1119 4) Tighten by hand, safety with a new cotter pin (16). S / N 1109, 1120 - 9999 and retrofit S / N 1 - 1108, 1110 - 1119 4) Torque nut (15) - refer to 20-00-01. Safety with a new cotter pin (16). S / N 1 - 9999 5) Attach rear section of hinged strut (11) to bearing (6) with bolt (7), washer (8) and nut (9). 6) Torque nut (9) - refer to 20-00-01. Safety with a new cotter pin (10). CAUTION : OBSERVE SHOULDERED WASHER (17) MOUNTING DIRECTION. 7) Attach the front section of hinged strut (18) to landing gear with bolt (12), shouldered washer (17), washer (24) and new nut (23). 8) Unlock the hinged strut - refer to Paragraph 1. Set the landing gear to up position and keep it in this position. 9) Position roller (20) on the front section of hinged strut (18). 10) Position compensating spring (25).
