Tools and consumable materials - Cleaning agent (TB 11-003) - Torque wrench 0 - 177 lbf.in (0 - 20 N.m) B. Removal of nose landing gear fork 1) Apply the parking brake. 2) Jack the front of the aircraft - refer to 07-10-00. 3) Remove wheel (4) - refer to 32-41-02. 4) Remove lower scissors (12) attachments on towing fitting (10) - refer to 32-20-03. 5) Hold the fork and remove the attachments. Retain bolts (6) and washers (8). Discard nuts (7). 6) Disengage fork (5) from sliding cylinder (3) and install it on a work bench. 7) Remove, if necessary, towing fitting (10) from fork (5). Retain bolts (9), shims (11) and washers (2). Discard nuts (1). 8) Clean all the parts with cleaning agent (TB 11-003). C. Installation of nose landing gear fork CAUTION : OBSERVE IMPERATIVE DIRECTION OF ASSEMBLY OF TOWING FITTING (10) ATTACHMENT FITTINGS (1), (2), (9) AND (11) ON FORK (5). 1) If removed, install towing fitting (10) on fork (5) with bolts (9), shims ( 1 1 ) , washers (2) and new nuts (1). CAUTION : THE MATERIAL AND LENGTH OF BOLT (6) ATTACHING FORK (5) TO SLIDING CYLINDER (3) RECOMMENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER ARE MANDATORY - SEE PART NUMBERS ON ILLUSTRATED PARTS CATALOG. 2) Assemble fork (5) to sliding cylinder (3) with bolts (6), washers (8) and new nuts (7). 3) Torque according to "Specific cases" tightening procedure - refer to 20-00-01. 4) Install lower scissors (12) - refer to 32-20-03. 5) Install wheel (4) - refer to 32-41-02. 6) Lower the aircraft to ground and remove the jack - refer to 07-10-00. 7) Release the parking brake.
