arrow F1), when the hook (1) is released, push with the foot on lower half-strut (following arrow F2) and simultaneously pull on wheel. CAUTION : CHECK THAT LANDING GEARS ARE LOCKED BEFORE REMOVING THE JACKS. 4) Lower the aircraft to ground and remove the jacks - refer to 07-10-00. 2. REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - NOSE LANDING GEAR HINGED STRUT (Figure 202) A. Tools and consumable materials - Lubricant (TB 04-004A) - Torque wrench 0 - 442.5 lbf.in (0 - 50 N.m) B. Removal of the nose landing gear hinged strut NOTE : Hinged strut not equipped with grease nipples - see Detail A. Hinged strut equipped with grease nipples - see Detail B. 1) Remove the engine cowlings - refer to 71-10-01. 2) Apply the parking brake. 3) Jack up the aircraft - refer to 07-10-00. 4) Manually unlock nose landing gear - refer to Paragraph 1., block the wheel so that it cannot return to the locked position. 5) Disconnect the microswitch connector from landing gear mount. 6) Uncouple compensating actuators (8) from landing gear leg (20) and compensating lever (5) ; retain washers (6) and discard cotter pins (7). 7) Uncouple actuating cylinder (24) from locking bar (10) ; retain screw (23) and washer (22). Discard locknut (21). 8) Hold hinged strut (9), remove fittings attaching it to landing gear leg (20), retain screw (16), washer (17) and nut (18). Discard cotter pin (19). 9) Hold hinged strut, remove fittings attaching it to mount, retain nuts (1), washers (2), compensating levers (5) and bolts (3). Discard cotter pins (4) ; install hinged strut on the work bench. 10) If required, remove fitting attaching front section of hinged strut (15) to rear section ; retain bolt (11), washer (12) and nut (13). Discard cotter pin (14). C. Installation of the nose landing gear hinged strut NOTE : Make sure, before installation, that the different parts have no wear or abnormal grooves, no friction or corrosion. Replace all the faulty parts. 1) Check hinged strut for misalignment - refer to Paragraph 4. 2) Lubricate all the hinges with lubricant (TB 04-004A). 3) If necessary, assemble the front section and the rear section of the hinged strut with bolt (11), washer (12) and nut (13). Torque nut (13) - refer to 20-00-01. Safety with a new cotter pin (14). 4) Position hinged strut (9) on the landing gear mount and on the landing gear leg (20). 5) On the landing gear leg (20), attach with screw (16), washer (17) and nut (18). Torque nut (18) - refer to 20-00-01. Safety with a new cotter pin (19). 6) Attach hinged strut to the landing gear mount with bolts (3), compensating levers (5), washers (2) and nuts (1). Torque nuts (1) - refer to 20-00-01.
