1) Jack up the aircraft - refer to 07-10-00. 2) Disconnect main landing gear door - refer to 32-10-05. 3) Remove cotter pin (7) and washer (6). Discard cotter pin (7). 4) Disconnect compensating spring (3). Retain roller (5). 5) Unlock main landing gear manually - refer to 32-30-03. Hold it to the up position. 6) Remove cotter pin (1), washer (2), clevis pin (4) and compensating spring (3). Discard cotter pin (1). 7) Set main landing gear manually to the down position. Lock. C. Installation of compensating spring 1) Lubricate the roller (5), clevis pin (4) and compensating spring (3) with grease (TB 04-004A). 2) If necessary, test compensating spring (3) - refer to Paragraph 3. 3) Unlock main landing gear manually - refer to 32-30-03. 4) Install compensating spring (3) with clevis pin (4), washer (2) and new cotter pin (1). 5) Set landing gear to the down position. Lock. 6) Attach compensating spring (3) to hinged strut with roller (5), washer (6) and new cotter pin (7). 7) Connect main landing gear door - refer to 32-10-05. WARNING : BEFORE ANY LANDING GEAR RETRACTION OR "NORMAL" OR "EMERGENCY" EXTENSION PROCEDURE, AND / OR LANDING GEAR CIRCUIT-BREAKER CLOSING, MAKE SURE THAT THE LANDING GEAR IMMEDIATE SURROUNDINGS ARE CLEAR (PERSONS OR THINGS). 8) Check landing gear emergency extension. 9) Lower the aircraft to ground and remove the jacks - refer to 07-10-00.
