(CA) JUN 02 B. Procedure 1) Check landing gear mount (7) and struts (3) and (19) - refer to Page 601. NOTE : If flanges (8) and rings (9) are to be replaced, bond the new ones with Loctite (TB 08-925). 2) Check condition of firewall at landing gear mount (7) attachment points. 3) If removed, install connecting lever (10) previously coated with lubricant (TB 04-004A), using washer (6) and nut (5). Tighten with a new cotter pin (4). 4) Position landing gear mount (7) on the firewall. CAUTION : BOLTS (20) ARE LONGER THAN BOLTS (1) AND (16). 5) Attach the mount with bolts (20) and washers (21). 6) Torque according to "Specific cases" tightening procedure - refer to 20-00-01. 7) Connect connecting rods (13) with bolts (11), washers (12) and nuts (14). Tighten with new cotter pins (15). 8) Install struts (3) and (19) with bolts (1) and (16), washers (2) and (17) and new nuts (18). Torque - refer to 20-00-01. 9) Mark the position of bolts (1), (16) and (20) with a red paint line. 10) Install nose landing gear hinged strut - refer to 32-30-04. 11) Install nose landing gear - refer to 32-20-00. 12) Connect propeller governor control - refer to 61-20-01. 13) Connect mixture control - refer to 76-10-03. 14) Connect the connectors of up landing gear microswitches and hinged strut. 15) If removed, install microswitch disconnect plug support. NOTE : To avoid damage to disconnect plugs, it is recommended to install a support if it is not installed - refer to Illustrated Parts Catalog. CAUTION : TO AVOID PREMATURE WEAR OF ENGINE AND LANDING GEAR MOUNTS, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE "ALPLA" BAND WHICH ATTACHES "SPIRAGAINE" HOSES ON MOUNTS BY TIE-WRAPS AND CONNECTION RINGS. INSTALL ADHESIVE TAPE (TB 08-917) OR PROTECTION TAPE (TB 05-938) UNDER TIE-WRAPS. 16) If vapor cycle cooling system (option) is installed, remove the securing clamps (if installed) of HP and LP hoses. 17) Install the hose that connects the exhaust pipe exchanger to the cabin air mixer attached to the firewall. 18) Attach all the sheaths, hoses, controls and wiring to the landing gear mount with new tie-wraps. 19) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris. WARNING : PRIOR TO ANY LANDING GEAR OPERATION, MAKE SURE THE LANDING GEAR AREA IS CLEAR. 20) Check landing gear control linkage and indicating system - refer to 32-30-00.
