CAUTION : IT IS PROHIBITED TO USE DIFFERENT BRANDS OF MASTER CYLINDERS ON THE SAME CONTROL STATION. THE ABOVE IS AUTHORIZED BETWEEN THE L.H. AND R.H. STATIONS. 2) Place master cylinder (13) on support (10). Do not omit spacer (12). 3) Fasten master cylinder (13) to support (10) with nut (11). 4) Place the master cylinder / support assembly on front table (5). Fasten in position with bolts (3) and washers (2). 5) Connect master cylinder (13) upper hose (1). 6) Install L.H. instrument panel and its attachment screws. 7) Coat front pipe (14) threading with loctite (TB 09-906) - refer to 20-00-08. 8) Connect front pipe (14). Torque - refer to 20-00-02. 9) Position pedal (6) and secure brake control rod (7) with washer (8) and new cotter pin (9). 10) At R.H. station (if equipped), place master cylinder in position and fasten with nut (22). Fasten hoses (20) and (21). Torque - refer to 20-00-02. 11) Adjust clearance by means of master cylinders. Minimum clearance to pedals is 0.19 in (5 mm). It corresponds to the gap between the master cylinder piston and the lever roller. This gap is necessary in case of temperature changes - see Figure 202, Detail A. 12) Bleed the brake system - refer to 12-13-01. 13) Check for hydraulic fluid leakage at line unions and at brake system bleed. 14) Mark line unions with a dash of red paint. 15) Install bleed plug. 16) Test brakes during taxiing on L.H. and (if equipped) R.H. stations. NOTE : - When installing a "JPX" brand master cylinder, leave a space of .39 to .79 in (1 to 2 mm) between the piston rod and the control lever roller. The "JPX" master cylinder is equipped with the spring (23) and the washer (24).
