20) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris.
21) Install the engine cowlings - refer to 71-10-01.
22) Remove the warning sign prohibiting main switch-breaker operation.

NOSE LANDING GEAR ACTUATING CYLINDER
MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
1. SERVICING None
1 2. REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - NOSE LANDING GEAR ACTUATING CYLINDER (Figure 201)
A. Tools and consumable materials
I - Grease (TB 04-004A)
- Red paint
- Hydraulic fluid (TB 02-001)
- Torque wrench 0 - 250 Ibf.in (0 - 30 N.m)
I - Drip pan
- Blanking plugs
B. Removal of the nose landing gear actuating cylinder
1) Jack up the aircraft - refer to 07-10-00.
2) Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open.
3) Install the warning sign prohibiting main switch-breaker operation.

MAINTENANCE WORK IN PROGRESS
4) Make hydraulic pressure drop in the system by pulling landing gear emergency control.
5) Remove the engine cowlings - refer to 71-10-01.
6) Install a drip pan beneath cylinder.
7) Disconnect hoses (4) and (6) on firewall and blank off.
8) Remove nut (11), washer (10) and bolt (9). Discard nut (11).
9) Hold cylinder and remove nut (3), washer (2) and bolt (1) and discard nut (3).
10) Pull hose (4) to release the fitting from the support and disconnect hose (4) from the actuating cylinder. Blank off.
11) Install cylinder on a work bench.
12) If required, disconnect hose (6). Discard 0-ring (12). Blank off.
13) If required, service actuating cylinder - refer to C.M.M. (Component Maintenance Manual), Actuating cylinder, P/N TB20 47007.
