A pressure switch, located close to the generator, cuts the system when the generator is correctly pressurized, which allows the landing gears to remain "up". The system pressure is kept by a load check valve in the hydraulic generation unit. The pressure switch operates as follows : 1) At the opening, when the system reaches the required pressure for a value of 1600 psi ± 80 psi (110.3 bars ± 5.54 bars) that is between 1520 psi (104.8 bars) and 1680 psi (115.9 bars). 2) At the closing, when the pressure decreases in the system and when the landing gear is "UP", approximately 20 % below the nominal value 1600 psi (110.3 bars). The closing value is generally about 360 psi (25 bars) below the opening value. Tools and consumable materials - Hydraulic fluid (TB 02-001) - Loctite (TB 09-906) - Varnish (TB 07-906) - Loctite (TB 08-908) - Stainless steel lockwire, dia. 0.03 in (0.8 mm) - Red paint - Drain receptacle - Blanking caps B. Removal of the electrohydraulic generator 1) Jack up the aircraft - refer to 07-10-00. 2) Open "LDG GEAR" "PULL OFF" type circuit-breaker on circuit-breaker panel. 3) Remove the rear bench seatpan - refer to 25-12-00. 4) Remove inspection door 238 - refer to 06-30-00. 5) Remove the cowling under hull 218. 6) Mark and disconnect the generator supply wiring. 7) Install a drain receptacle under the generator. 8) Disconnect pipes (2) and (3). Blank off. 9) Remove electrohydraulic generator (1) gage. Allow to drip and blank off. 10) Cut the lockwire (if installed) and remove electrohydraulic generator (1). Retain bolts (7), washers (6) and discard nuts (5). 11) Remove, if necessary, distribution plate (4). C. Installation of the electrohydraulic generator 1) Install, if necessary, distribution plate (4). 2) Position and attach the electrohydraulic generator to its bracket (11) with bolts (7), washers (6) and new nuts (5). NOTE : Lockwire bolts (7) if their heads are drilled. 3) Connect pipes (2) and (3).
