The multifunction display enables navigation charts and information provided by other systems to be displayed.

MULTIFUNCTION DISPLAY
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1. GENERAL
The multifunction display provides a visual reference of the aircraft position depending on ground facilities and
gives a navigation aid.
The system consists of :
- the M63 multifunction display,
- the data base card.
The multifunction display receives information from :
- the Global Positioning System (GPS) - refer to 34-57-00,
- the Stormscope system (option) - refer to 34-41-00. The multifunction display is electrically supplied by "BUS 3" bar.

DESCRIPTION A. M63 multifunction display (Figure 2)
The multifunction display allows to display topographical data (rivers, roads, ...), aeronautical data (VOR, Airport, NDB, ...) and the active flight management provided by a GPS. Topographical and aeronautical data are stored in a data base card. It also allows storm data to be displayed when it is interfaced with a Stormscope system.
The front face of the multifunction display features :
- a color graphic display (1),
- a button (2) to adjust brightness of the color graphic display,
- a cartridge (3) containing the removable data base card,
- an "OFF-ON" button (4) to energize the multifunction display,
- five pushbuttons (5) to select the different available data sources to be displayed. An indicator light located above each pushbutton allows the selection to be confirmed,
- two concentric buttons (6) with various functions. If necessary, a message appears on the graphic display to indicate the button function,
