Tools and consumable materials - Sealant (TB 09-903) - Plastic scraper - Cleaning agent (TB 11-003) - Clean lintfree cloths B. Removal of GPS antenna 1) Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open. Aircraft equipped with upper duct upholstering 241 2) Remove the radio loudspeaker grille. 3) Remove the radio loudspeaker to gain access to the upper duct central attachment. 4) Remove the screw and the washer of the upper duct central attachment. 5) Hold the upper duct upholstering and remove the front and rear attachment screws and washers. 6) Sufficiently clear the upper duct upholstering to gain access to connector (3). NOTE : For the remaining operations, hold the upper duct upholstering suspended by an appropriate means to avoid overstressing the electrical wires. Aircraft not equipped with upper duct upholstering 241 If antenna cover upholstering (6) is installed, remove screws (7), washers (8) and antenna cover upholstering (6). Remove screws (9), washers (10) and GPS antenna cover (5). All 7) Using a plastic scraper, remove the sealant bead applied around the antenna. 8) Disconnect connector (3). 9) Remove and discard nuts (4). 10) Remove GPS antenna (1) and gasket (2). 11) Remove any sealant residues on the fuselage and on GPS antenna (1). C. Installation of GPS antenna Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open. Using a clean lintfree cloth soaked with cleaning agent (TB 11-003), clean the skin area in contact with the base of GPS antenna (1). Wipe with a dry cloth. 3) Position gasket (2) on GPS antenna (1). 4) Position and secure GPS antenna (1) equipped with the gasket with new nuts (4). 5) Connect connector (3). Aircraft equipped with upper duct upholstering 241 6) Position and secure upper duct upholstering. 7) Connect and secure the radio loudspeaker. 8) Install the grille of the radio loudspeaker. Aircraft not equipped with upper duct upholstering 241 Position and secure GPS antenna cover (5) with screws (9) and washers (10). If removed, position and secure antenna cover upholstering (6) with screws (7) and washers (8). All 9) Apply a bead of sealant (TB 09-903) around the antenna / fuselage junction. 10) Perform an operational test of the GPS system.
