A desensitization line connects A72 DME interrogator to the transponder system - refer to 34-53-00. The DME system is electrically supplied by "BUS 2" bar via radio master relay.

2. REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - E37 DME ANTENNA (Figure 201)

- Sealant (TB 09-903)

- Plastic scraper
- Clean lintfree cloth
- Cleaning agent (TB 11-912)
- Alodine (TB 13-002)
- Varnish (TB 07-906)
- Abrasive cloth (TB 05-916C)
- Adhesive tape
B. Removal of E37 DME antenna
1) Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open.
2) Install the warning sign prohibiting the control wheel operation :

DO NOT OPERATE
MAINTENANCE WORK IN PROGRESS
3) If a sealant bead is applied around the antenna, remove the sealant with a plastic scraper.
4) Remove under-hull cowlings 218 or 218F and 218A.
