 the "ENT" pushbutton (7) enables the pilot to validate an operation or to store the data entered with the cursor function.
- the "PROC" pushbutton (9) enables the pilot to select and modify the loading of departure, approach or arrival procedures of the initiated flight plan,
- the "FLP" pushbutton (10) enables the pilot to create, edit and initiate flight plans,
- the "MSG" pushbutton (1 1 ) , enables the pilot, when "MSG" message appears on the display, to access a consultation page.
- the "OBS" pushbutton (12) enables the selection of the manual mode (OBS of the course deviation indicator or of the HSI) or of the automatic mode (LEG) when sequencing the waypoints,
- the "CDI" pushbutton (13) enables the selected VOR/I LS or GPS information to be directed towards M81 course deviation indicator or towards the M73 HSI,
- the ".C" pushbutton (2) enables the energization of the system.
The A78 COMM.NOR-1LS/GPS transceiver is electrically supplied by "BUS 1" bar via CB 87 "NAV GPS 1" circuit breaker.
The A78 COMM./VOR-ILS/GPS transceiver is mounted on PL30 radio rack. B. E48 GPS antenna
E48 GPS antenna ensures the reception of the signals. It operates within the D band at the frequency of 1575.42 MHz.
It is a flat and small size antenna secured by means of four nuts.
The antenna is mounted on top of the fuselage between C3 and C4 frames. 4. OPERATION (Figure 3)
The "RADIO MASTER" switch controls the energization of the whole radionavigation system.
The "CDI" pushbutton on the front panel of the COMM./VOR-ILS/ GPS transceiver enables the selected information of the VOR/ILS or GPS navigation source to be directed towards the course deviation indicator or towards the HSI. A "VLOC" or "GPS" message appears on the display above the "CDI" pushbutton to confirm the selection.
