ADJUSTMENT / TEST
1. OPERATIONAL TEST OF THE GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM
Tools and consumable material
- Ground power unit
Procedure
Park the aircraft on a clear area.
Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open.
Connect the ground power unit - refer to 24-40-00.
Make sure the A78 GPS receiver is not energized ("PUSH-ON" button in pulled-out position).
Close the main switch-breaker.
Set the radio master switch to "ON".
Interfaced-with-HSI version
If necessary, select GPS function on the HSI indicator with the "NAV GPS" or "NAV1 GPS1" annunciator/switch of the advisory panel.

Press "PUSH-ON" button of GPS receiver to energize it.
