Information specific to R.H. installation are given in square brackets. SERVICING None REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - RELAY BOX (Figure 201) A. Tools and consumable materials Stainless steel bonding brush Alodine (TB 13-002) Petrolatum (TB 04-012) Abrasive cloth (TB 05-916C) Varnish (TB 07-906) Cleaning agent (TB 11-912) - Clean lintfree cloths B. Removal of the relay box Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open. Remove inspection door 211L [211R]. Disconnect connector (3) from relay box (1). Remove bolts (8) and washers (7). Remove relay box (1). C. Installation of the relay box Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open. On front table (2), if the areas to be bonded (6) are alodine-coated, clean the areas with a cloth moistened with cleaning agent (TB 11-912) and wipe with a dry cloth. Moderately coat the alodine-coated surface with petrolatum (TB 04-012). If the areas to be bonded (6) are not alodine-coated, perform the bonding of the areas - refer to 20-00-12. On relay box (1), clean and, if necessary, recondition the areas (5) facing those bonded on the front table. If grounding lug (4) has to be reconnected, clean and, if necessary, recondition the contact area on the relay box. Position and secure the relay box with bolts (8) and washers (7). NOTE : If installed, secure lug (4) with bolt (8) and washer (7). AMA Validity : GPS with HSI Page 201 34 57 05 (BA) NOV 01 Carefully clean excess petrolatum (TB 04-012) with a clean cloth slightly moistened with cleaning agent (TB 11-912). Coat the relay box attachment hardware with varnish (TB 07-906) beyond the alodine-coated area. Connect connector (3). Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris. Close inspection door 211L [211R]. Perform an operational test of the GPS system.
