The GPS receiver sends an audio signal to the audio control box - refer to 23-11-00.
This audio signal is attenuated by a resistor, located on BJ3 terminal strip of the radio rack. The GPS system is electrically supplied by "BUS 3" bar via the "GPS" circuit breaker.

GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS)
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1. GENERAL (Figure 1)
The GPS is a system of radio-navigation by satellites which allows to solve the problem of an aircraft location anywhere.
The system consists of :
- an A78 GPS receiver,
- an E48 GPS antenna,
- a "NAV 1 / GPS" switch / annunciator of the advisory panel [controls the switching of NAV 1 (VOR / LOC) or GPS information on the HSI],
- an "MSG" annunciator (indicator light) of the advisory panel,
- an E023 relay box [switches NAV 1 (VOR) or GPS information on the HSI]. The GPS receiver sends an audio signal to the audio control box - refer to 23-11-00. This audio signal is attenuated by a resistor located on BJ3 terminal strip of the radio rack. The system also uses the "RADIO MASTER" switch.
The GPS receiver sends navigation data to the optional autopilot system - refer to 22-12-00.
The GPS receiver transmits the guidance information through the relay box (right / left, TO / FROM and Flag) to the HSI (heading reference system - refer to 34-21-00), if the pilot has previously selected the GPS information (using the "NAV 1 / GPS" switch / annunciator).
The GPS system is electrically supplied by "BUS 3" bar via the "GPS" circuit breaker.
