GENERAL (Figures 1, 1A, 1B and 1C) The transponder allows the operational air traffic service to identify the aircraft. The optional system consists of : - an A56 transponder, - an E36 antenna, - a conversion kit (28 volts only). The transponder can receive altitude information from the optional encoding altimeter or altitude encoder refer to 34-11-00. A desensitization line connects the transponder to the optional DME installation - refer to 34-55-00. 14-volt aircraft The transponder is electrically supplied by "BUS 1" or "BUS 2" or "BUS 3" bar(s) via the "ATC" circuit breaker. 28-volt aircraft The transponder is electrically supplied by "BUS 1" and / or "BUS 2" bar(s) via the "XPDR" circuit breaker. 2.
