The A78 COMM.NOR-ILS/GPS transceiver is a rectangular box installed in an attachment rack. Connections are made through four electrical connectors and four antenna connectors on the back panel. For the VOR/ILS functions, the front panel includes : - the display (1) subdivided in three windows. The window (4) relative to VOR/ILS functions is located in the middle L.H. portion of the display. It is protected by CB 87 "NAV GPS1" circuit breaker. When "Ground Clearance" function is enabled, the battery electrically supplies COMM.NOR-ILS/GPS transceiver directly, via K201-relay contacts in work position. CB 17 circuit breaker thus protects the feed line. The circuit breaker is secured to frame No. 4 near the starter relay. All The COMM./VOR-ILS/GPS transceiver is mounted on PL30 radio rack. B. E33 VOR/LOC antenna The "V" type VOR/LOC antenna consists of two radiants mounted horizontally on each side of the vertical stabilizer.
