GENERAL (Figures 1, 1A and 1B) The Automatic Direction Finder (ADF) is a direction-finding device which allows to determine the direction of a radioelectric transmission. The optional ADF installation gives azimuth indications which allow to point a position and to do alignments. The ADF installation consists of : - an A55 ADF receiver, - an E35 ADF antenna, - an M77 ADF indicator. I The ADF indicator receives signals from the slaved directional gyro - refer to 34-21-00. The ADF installation is connected to the optional audio control box - refer to 23-11-00. The system is electrically supplied by "BUS 1" or "BUS 2" or "BUS 3" bars. NOTE : For RUSSIAN and UKRAINIAN aircraft, ADF system is electrically supplied by "BUS 1" bar. 2.
