F. Course deviation indicator (option)
The indicator displays Glide Slope information and the converted VOR/LOC information provided by the VHF NAV/COMM. transceiver.
The front panel of the indicator includes :
- the "OBS" button used to adjust the desired radial under the lubber line by moving the compass card,
- the horizontal pointer (option) showing the Glide Slope course position relative to aircraft position,
- the vertical pointer showing VOR course deviation or LOC course position relative to aircraft position,
- the "TO/FR" flag showing "TO" if the aircraft flies towards the selected ground station or "FR" when it flies in the opposite direction.
- the "VOR/LOC" warning flag which appears to show that the received signals cannot be used.
- the Glide Slope warning flag (option) which appears to show that the received signals cannot be used. It is electrically supplied by the VHF NAV/COMM. transceiver.
The indicator is mounted on the L.H. instrument panel.

G. A95 VOR/LOC converter (option)
The VOR/LOC converter is a signal converter which operates with the VHF NAV/COMM. transceiver and an indicator to provide omnidirectional (VOR) and azimuth guidance (LOC) information.
Navigation information given by the VHF NAV/COMM. transceiver (composite signal) is converted into DC signals to control the horizontal pointer, the TO/FROM indicator and the paired warning flag of the Horizontal Situation Indicator (HSI).
The VOR/LOC converter is electrically supplied by the VHF NAV/COMM. transceiver. The VOR/LOC converter is mounted under the pilot's seat.
4. OPERATION (Figures 5, 5A and 5B)
The "RADIO MASTER" switch enables the energization of the entire radionavigation system.
A. VOR/LOC mode
The VHF NAV/COMM. transceiver is tuned to the frequency displayed in the active frequency window of the NAV display. The VOR/LOC signal is received by the antenna and transmitted to the VHF NAV/COMM. transceiver via the VOR signal separator. The transceiver detects and amplifies the signal to produce a composite VOR/LOC signal.
Aircraft with course deviation indicator
The course deviation indicator receives this signal and converts into DC signals to control the vertical pointer, the "TO/FR" flag and the paired warning flag.
