GENERAL (Figure 1) The radio magnetic indication system provides by means of one indicator, magnetic heading of the aircraft and bearing information to VOR and ADF stations. The optional radio magnetic indication system consists of a radio magnetic indicator (RMI). • The radio magnetic indicator receives : - magnetic heading information from the heading reference system - refer to 34-21-00, - navigation data from NAV 1 installation - refer to 34-51-00, I - ADF bearing information from Automatic Direction Finder (ADF) system(s) - refer to 34-54-00, - navigation data from NAV 2 installation - refer to 34-52-00. The slaved directional gyro of the heading reference system in conjunction with an external resistor provides a heading flag signal to the radio magnetic indicator. The resistor is fixed : - either onto a terminal bar which is mounted onto the slaved directional gyro support, - or directly onto R.H. vertical side of the slaved directional gyro support (inner side). The system is electrically supplied by "BUS 3 " bar. 2.
