The system is composed of a flight director indicator (ADI 1).
The flight director indicator (ADI 1) is connected to the flight computer of the autopilot (pitch / roll attitude references) - refer to 22-00-00.
The flight director indicator uses the aircraft's vacuum system - refer to 37-11-00.

3. DESCRIPTION
A. Flight director indicator (ADI 1)
The flight director indicator (ADI 1) allows :
- visualizing the aircraft attitude on a classic gyroscopic horizon,
- supplying attitude (roll and pitch) reference signals to the flight computer,
- visualizing the piloting commands computed by the flight computer (FD mode), using the command bar. The flight director indicator (ADI 1) has an electric detection system to detect :
- the aircraft pitch, it supplies a signal which is proportional to the aircraft longitudinal attitude,
- the aircraft roll, it supplies a signal which is proportional to the aircraft transverse attitude. These signals are used by the flight computer of the autopilot system.
The flight computer supplies the AC / DC currents necessary to operate the flight director indicator (ADI 1). The flight director indicator is of the pneumatic type. It is supplied by the vacuum generating system.
4. OPERATION
NOTE : For equipment operation and maintenance, refer to the supplier's Maintenance Manual.
The flight director indicator is connected to the aircraft's vacuum source. The air, sucked into the flight director indicator via a filter, rotates the gyro spinner.
When the autopilot system is energized, the flight computer provides the AC / DC supply currents to the flight director indicator.
The flight director indicator transmits signals concerning the aircraft's pitch and roll attitude to the flight computer.

ADI AND STANDBY HORIZON
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1. GENERAL
The optional horizon is a piloting gyroscopic instrument supplying a permanent visual indication of the aircraft pitch and roll attitude with regard to the place vertical line.
The system is composed of the horizon (ADI 1).
The horizon is connected to the flight computer of the autopilot (roll or pitch and roll attitude references) - refer to 22-10-00.
The horizon is supplied by the aircraft's vacuum system - refer to 37-11-00.
