MARKER system - refer to 34-31-00 This section describes the MARKER system which provides accurate information to the pilot when he flies over beacons. WA Validity : OPTION 34-30-00Page 1 (BA) FEB 00 PAGE INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK MARKER DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION 1. GENERAL The markers are ground beacons which transmit a narrow vertical beam. They are generally associated to the ILS (Instrument Landing System) and are three. They provide the threshold distance. The marker receiver indicates to the pilot, by an appropriate luminous and sound signal, that the aircraft flies over a beacon. The optional marker system consists of : - an MKR receiver / indicator integrated into A50 audio control box - refer to 23-11-00, - an E38 MKR antenna, - a notch filter tee (if installed). The MKR receiver / indicator transmits "OUTER MKR" and "MIDDLE MKR" information to the optional autopilot - refer to 22-12-00. The MKR receiver / indicator is electrically supplied by "BUS 3" bar via the "AUDIO" circuit breaker. 2. LOCATION (Figures 1 and 1A) COMPONENT QTY AREA ACCESS DOOR REFERENCE 3.
