4. OPERATION
NOTE : For equipment operation and maintenance, refer to the supplier's Maintenance Manual.
The horizon gyro indicator is connected to the aircraft's vacuum system. The air, sucked into the indicator horizon gyro via a filter, rotates the gyroscope spinner.
As soon as the gyroscope has reached its operating speed, the indicator is ready to correctly display the aircraft pitch and roll angles.

ADI AND STANDBY HORIZON
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1. GENERAL
The optional horizon is a piloting gyroscopic instrument supplying a permanent visual indication of the aircraft pitch and roll attitude with regard to the place vertical line.
The system is composed of an electric horizon gyro (ADI) that can be of different types.
ADI 1 is used as main horizon whereas ADI 2 is used as additional horizon.
A switch marked "HORIZ" or "HORIZON" controls the operation of the electric horizon gyro.
The electric horizon gyro is electrically supplied by "BUS 3" bar or "BUS 1" bar via the "HOR" circuit breaker.
