3) Disconnect the instrument hose(s). 4) If necessary, disconnect the electrical connector(s). 5) Remove the instrument. 6) If the intrument is to be replaced, remove and retain the attachment captive nuts, the fitting(s) screwed on the instrument and, if necessary, the lighting kit. 7) Blank off the aircraft hose(s) and tube(s) and the removed instrument outlets. 2. STANDARD INSTALLATION OF AN INSTRUMENT A. Tools and consumable materials - Sealant (TB 09-911) - Cleaning agent (TB 11-003) - CLIC pliers Z00.N7675230202 (CAILLAU clamps) B. Procedure 1) Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open. 2) If the instrument is replaced, perform the following operations : a) Clean the threads of the fitting(s) with some cleaning agent (TB 11-003). b) Apply some sealant (TB 09-911) moderately and evenly to the threads of the fitting(s). c) Install the fitting(s) on the new instrument. d) Install the attachment captive nuts and, if necessary, the lighting kit. 3) Secure the instrument to the instrument panel. 4) Remove the blanking caps and plugs, fit the hose(s) with clamps and perform the connections. NOTE : CAILLAU clamps cannot be reused. Use a CLIC pliers for the installation of new clamps. 5) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris. AAAA Validity : S / N 1 - 9999 34-11-00Page 402 (BA) JUN 04 AIR DATA SYSTEMS ADJUSTMENT/TEST 1 LEAKAGE TEST OF AIR DATA SYSTEMS CAUTION : VERY LOW PRESSURES ARE USED BY AIR DATA INSTRUMENTS AND SYSTEMS. USE AN APPROPRIATE TEST BENCH TO AVOID INSTRUMENTS AND SYSTEMS DAMAGE. NEVER BLOW AIR FROM MOUTH INTO STATIC PORTS OR PITOT TUBES. CAUTION : DECREASE PRESSURE DOWN TO AMBIENT ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE AIR DATA SYSTEM TEST BENCH HOSES FROM THE AIRCRAFT DYNAMIC AND STATIC PORTS. NOTE : The procedure described hereafter gives the outlines of an example of leakage test of dynamic and static systems without reference to a specific test bench. A. Tools and consumable materials - Test bench - Blanking cap - Adhesive tape B. Procedure 1) Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open. 2) Install the warning sign prohibiting main switch-breaker operation.
