The PL 100 panel is mounted on C6 frame, on the L.H. side.
D. B19 fan
The B19 fan is electrically supplied by the symbol generator which it cools as soon as the EFIS system is energized.
It is mounted under the support of the symbol generator.

E. A110 NAV converter
The A110 NAV converter receives VOR/ILS information from VHF Navigation systems 1 and 2 and transforms them into ARINC 429 type signals adapted to the symbol generator. It also provides synchronization signals required for DME system operation.
The NAV converter is electrically supplied by :
Aircraft S / N 1786
- "BUS 3" bar via K100 relay and protected by CB132 "EHSI ADAPT-,
- "BUS 1" bar via K100 relay and protected by CB131 "EHSI".
Aircraft S / N 1787 - 9999
- NAV 1 and NAV 2 receivers of NAV 1 and NAV 2 installations.
The NAV converter is mounted on the L.H. side in the rear fuselage, behind C6 frame.
F. A100 static inverter
The A100 static inverter generates AC voltages from the 28-volt DC.
The static inverter consists of a parallelepipedic rectangular box equipped with a circular connector for electrical connection.
The static inverter provides the PL100 panel with two voltages : 26V/400 Hz and 115V/400 Hz.
The static inverter is electrically supplied by "BUS 2" bar via CB71 "COMPASS" circuit breaker.
The "RADIO MASTER" switch controls the energization of the static inverter.
4. OPERATION Energization
The energization of the EFIS systems requires setting to "ON" the "RADIO MASTER" switch and "EHSI MASTER" switch.
System test
The system features an auto-test which is initiated by means of "TST/REF" button located on the front face of the EHSI. Pressing and holding the "TST/REF" pushbutton depressed for more than 3 seconds initiates the self test pattern and the message "SELF TEST PASS" will be annunciated.
The "SELF TEST PASS" will be annunciated if the system is operational, the message "SELF TEST FAIL" will be annunciated if a defect is detected.
During the test, make sure the compass scale is white in color, this indicates that the three colors are operational.
Normal operation
The EHSI will at minimum display the image of a standard HSI.
Using the control knobs/buttons located on the front face of the EHSI, the pilot selects the information he wishes to display on the screen.
Each information (VOR, ADF, LOC, DME, etc.) is displayed with a color in agreement with the providing source.
The symbol generator processes the signals provided by the different sources and transforms them into video signals.
