A65 EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER
MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
NOTE : The A65 emergency locator transmitter must only be operated for search and rescue purposes in case of aeronautical emergency. Failure to observe this rule will lead to sanctions imposed by the relevant authorities. Set emergency locator transmitter "ON-OFF-ARM" switch to "OFF" during handling.
1. SERVICING

Refer to "Owner's manual and Pilot's 910" - refer to 00-00-00.
2. REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - A65 EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER (Figure 201)

B. Removal of A65 emergency locator transmitter
1) Open access door 219.
2) Set emergency locator transmitter "ON-OFF-ARM" switch to "OFF".
3) Disconnect antenna connector (4).
4) Disconnect connector (5) ensuring connection to the aircraft wiring harness.
5) Remove screws (6).
6) Clear straps (7) and remove A65 emergency locator transmitter (1).
7) If necessary, remove screws (3) and remove mounting tray (2).
C. Installation of A65 emergency locator transmitter
CAUTION : THE ARROW ON A65 EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER MUST BE DIRECTED TOWARDS THE AIRCRAFT FRONT SECTION.
1) If removed, install and secure mounting tray (2) with screws (3).
2) Clear straps (7) and install A65 emergency locator transmitter (1) in mounting tray (2).
3) Install screws (6).
4) Connect connector (5) ensuring connection to the aircraft wiring harness.
5) Connect antenna connector (4).
6) Set emergency locator transmitter "ON-OFF-ARM" switch to "ARM".
7) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris.
8) Close access door 219.
3. ADJUSTMENT / TEST - A65 EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER
CAUTION : GIVEN THE NUISANCES THAT EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER OPERATIONAL TESTS GENERATE TO AIR TRAFFIC, THE OPERATOR SHALL INQUIRE ABOUT THE REGULATIONS PROPER TO THE COUNTRY WHERE THESE TESTS ARE TO BE PERFORMED.
