CLEANING OF SAFETY HARNESSES AND BELTS A. Tools and consumable materials - Soft brush - Cleaning agent (TB 11-001) - Cleaning agent (TB 11-002) - Grease (TB 04-004B) - Filtered compressed air source B. Cleaning of the straps 1) Brush the straps using a soft brush to eliminate the dust. 2) Clean stained areas with soapy water. 3) Thoroughly dry before installation in the aircraft. C. Cleaning of the buckles and reels 1) Clean buckles and reels with cleaning agent (TB 11-002). 2) Dry using dry air. 3) Lubricate buckles and reels with grease (TB 04-004B). REMOVAL OF THE CENTRAL PEDESTAL CONSOLE (Figure 401) A. Tools and consumable materials None B. Procedure 1) Tilt or remove the front seats, if necessary, to remove side pedestal covers (12) and (20), retain securing buttons (6). 2) Remove screw (14), then remove rudder tab control knob (13). 3) Remove ashtray (9). 4) Disconnect the power supply wires and remove the lower ring of lighter (8) through ashtray (9) aperture. 5) Remove protective device (4) attachment screws, rotate wing flap control plate (3) 90° so that it can pass through the slot. 6) If installed, remove both screws (18) and reinforcement plate (17). 7) Unstick and remove rear pedestal cover (16). 8) Move control levers (5), (21) and (22) to maximum aft position. 9) Unstick and remove front pedestal cover (19). 10) Unclip and remove blanking plate (7). 11) Disconnect pitch trim lighting wires then remove screws (10) and rear pedestal (11). 12) Remove screws (1) so as to lift front pedestal (2). NOTE : The lower sides of the front tunnel are not removable, they are riveted to the floor, the firewall and the front table. 2. INSTALLATION OF THE CENTRAL PEDESTAL CONSOLE (Figure 401) A. Tools and consumable materials None B.
