12) Install ashtray (7). CAUTION : IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT CONTROLLED COMPONENTS REACH MECHANICAL STOP BEFORE CONTROL LEVERS REACH MECHANICAL STOP ON CONTROL PEDESTAL. 13) Move control levers (5), (14) and (15) twice or three times. Make sure that controlled components reach mechanical stop before control levers reach mechanical stop on control pedestal. NOTE : If the control levers reach mechanical stop first, reposition rear covering plate (13). 14) Check pitch trim (12) lighting and lighter (6) for correct operation. 15) Check control knob (10) and rudder tab for correct displacement - refer to 27-20-00. 16) Perform a radio test - refer to 23-10-00. AIAB Validity : S / N 588, 600, 610 - 730 25-14-00Page 404 (EG) SEP 04 CENTRAL PEDESTAL CONSOLE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION 1. REMOVAL OF THE CENTRAL PEDESTAL CONSOLE (Figure 401) A. Tools and consumable materials None B. Procedure 1) Move control levers (5), (16) and (17) to maximum forward position. 2) Remove ashtray (7), then remove the screw located in the ashtray housing. 3) Remove screws (13) and (9), then remove rudder tab control knob (12) and fuel selector control knob (8). 4) Remove screw (11). 5) Disengage rear covering plate (15) to disconnect lighter (6) power supply wires and pitch trim lighting (14) power supply wires. 6) Remove rear covering plate (15). 7) Move control levers (5), (16) and (17) to maximum aft position. 8) Remove screws (1) and (18), retain cup washers (2) and (19). 9) Pull front covering plate (20) rearward to remove it. 10) If necessary, remove screws (3), washers (4) and the switch-breaker support. NOTE : The sides of the front tunnel are not removable, they are riveted to the floor, the firewall and the front table. 2. INSTALLATION OF THE CENTRAL PEDESTAL CONSOLE (Figure 401) A. Tools and consumable materials - Loctite (TB 08-013C) B. Procedure 1) Check the parts for correct condition, replace if necessary. 2) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris. 3) If removed, secure the switch-breaker support with washers (4) and screws (3). 4) Push front covering plate (20) forward to install it. Secure with cup washers (2) and (19) and screws (1) and (18). 5) Move control levers (5), (16) and (17) to maximum forward position. 6) Install rear covering plate (15) and connect lighter (6) power supply wires and pitch trim lighting (14) power supply wires. 7) Secure rear covering plate (15) and rear tunnel upholstering front lug with screw (11). 8) Install rudder tab control knob (12) and secure with screw (13).
