FRONT SEATS
REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
1. REMOVAL OF FRONT SEATS (Figure 401)
A. Tools and consumable materials
None
B. Procedure
1) Move the seat to maximum forward position.
2) Remove the rear attachments, retain bolts (12) and washers (13).
3) Move the seat to maximum aft position.
4) Hold the seat and remove the front attachments on struts (3). Retain bolts (7) and washers (8), discard nuts (9).
5) Remove the seat.
WARNING : WHEN UNLOCKING THE TILTING SYSTEM ON A WORK BENCH, REMOVE HANDS FROM FRONT ADJUSTMENT HANDLE (2) AND BEWARE OF THE DISPLACEMENT OF THE SEAT IN NORMAL POSITION OR OF THE SLIDERS ASSEMBLY IF THE SEAT HAS BEEN POSITIONED UPSIDE DOWN.
WARNING : DO NOT REMAIN IN THE AXIS OF THE SLIDERS RAILS WHEN UNLOCKING THE ADJUSTMENT HANDLE.
6) If necessary, separate sliders assembly (10) from the seat on a work bench.
a) Unlock control (1).
b) Remove bolts (14) and discard nuts (15).
c) Remove sliders assembly (10).
NOTE : Sliders assembly (10) is fitted with springs (4) at the front to facilitate seat tilting and springs (5) at the rear that enable seat locking in the longitudinal direction.
2. INSTALLATION OF FRONT SEATS (Figure 401)
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Cleaning agent (TB 11-003)
- Linffree clean cloths
B. Procedure
1) Check the parts for correct condition, replace if necessary.
2) Clean the parts using linffree clean cloths and cleaning agent (TB 11-003).
3) If the rails have been removed, do not forget springs (4) and (5).
4) If removed, secure sliders assembly (10) to the seat using bolts (14) and new nuts (15).
5) Lock sliders assembly (10) on the seat with the rear tilting hook.
6) Install the seat, equipped with its sliders assembly, on rear supports (6) and front struts (3).
