B. Procedure
1) Remove the rear bench - refer to 25-12-00.
2) Remove the rear cowling under hull 218A.
3) Cut out an opening in the cargo compartment floor, between frames C4 and C5 (Figure 801).
4) If necessary, remove nuts (20).
5) Depending on the damage, partially or completely remove the wing flaps control system - refer to 27-50-00, and unrivet one or several of the following items :
- support lower side panel (23) from lower angle bracket (22) and bulkhead (13),
- support upper side panel (25) from upper angle bracket (24) and bulkhead (13),
- lower angle bracket (22) from frame C4 (1),
- upper angle bracket (24) from frame C4 (1),
- bulkhead (13) from frame C4 (1), support lower side panel (23) and support upper side panel (25),
- stiffener (15) from frame C4 (1).
6) Unrivet angle bracket (3).
7) To stop the cracks on frame C4, drill one hole at each end of the cracks with a drill No. 47 (dia. 2 mm).
8) Discard and replace any cracked part (side panel, angle bracket, doubler, bulkhead).
9) If removed, rivet support lower side panel (23) and support upper side panel (25) with rivets dia. 0.12 in. (3.2 mm).
10) If removed, rivet lower angle bracket (22) and upper angle bracket (24) with rivets dia. 0.15 in. (4 mm). Take care not to rivet the attachment holes of doubler (10) and angle bracket (3).
11) If removed, rivet bulkhead (13) with rivets dia. 0.12 in. (3.2 mm).
12) Install unfolding strip (27) and angle bracket (28) on stiffener (15), then countrerdrill with a drill No. 7 (dia. 5.1 mm) for bolt holes, and with a drill No. 30 (dia. 3.3 mm) and a drill No. 20 (dia. 4.1 mm) for rivet holes. Deburr.
13) Install stiffener (15), unfolding strip (27), angle bracket (28) and unfolding wedges (26). Secure with bolts (18), washers (19), nuts (20) and rivets (16) and (17).
14) Position doubler (10) on frame C4 (1). Pin the doubler to counterdrill with a drill No. 20 (dia. 4.1 mm). Remove, deburr then rivet doubler (10) to frame C4 and to the fuselage bottom sheet.
15) Install shim (2) and angle bracket (3), counterdrill with a drill No. 30 (dia. 3.3 mm) and a drill No. 20 (dia. 4.1 mm). Remove, deburr then rivet shim (2) and angle bracket (3) to frame C4 (1).
