c) Install bolts (28), washers (27) and nuts (26). d) Insert control cable (15) into support (3) [4]. e) Install cable stop stiffener (16). f) Hand-tighten nuts (14). 6) If disassembled, assemble footstep (20) [21]. a) Lubricate compression spring (23), pin (22) and spacer (8) with grease (TB 04-004A). b) Install pin (22) and compression spring (23) in footstep (20) [21]. c) Position cam (10) and spacers (11), then install spacer (8) in footstep (20) [21]. 7) Lubricate bolt (6), return spring (9) and clevis pin (18) with grease (TB 04-004A). 8) Install the footstep with washer (5) and bolt (6). Install washer (25) and nut (24). 9) Position return spring (9) on cam (10). 10) Install cable end (17) on cam (10). Install clevis pin (18), washers (19) and new cotter pin (12). 11) Actuate cam (10) to lock footstep (20) [21]. 12) Adjust the cable. a) Rotate nuts (14) clockwise or counterclockwise to move clevis pin (18) to the middle of its housing on cam (10). b) Apply Loctite (TB 08-903) on the threads - refer to 20-00-08 and tighten nuts (14). REMOVAL OF THE CONTROL CABLE (Figure 402) A. Tools and consumable materials None B. Procedure CAUTION : PRIOR TO REMOVAL, MARK THE ROUTING OF THE CONTROL CABLE AND THE POSITION OF THE TIE-WRAPS. 1) Remove footstep fairing 2111 R [2111L]. 2) Remove the rear cowling under hull 218A. 3) Remove the front cowling under hull 218F. 4) Remove the cable end from the footstep and the support - refer to Paragraph 2. 5) Loosen nut (2). 6) Remove and discard the tie-wraps. 7) Clear cable stop (6) from control bellcrank (4) [5] and clear the cable from cable stop (3). 8) Remove the cable. 4. INSTALLATION OF THE CONTROL CABLE (Figure 402) A. Tools and consumable materials - Grease (TB 04-004A) - Tie-wraps - Cleaning agent (TB 11-003) - Linffree clean cloths B.
