6) Screw pump (17) (on "IN" side) on union (26) until the middle of the groove is aligned with the bearing face of the pump - refer to Detail A. Hold union (26) with a wrench and tighten nut (27) on the pump without locking it. 7) Screw elbow union (31) on pump (17) (on "OUT" side) following the same process as for union (26). Direct the elbow union to the front of the aircraft and tighten nut (30) on the pump without locking it. CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT BRACKET IS CORRECTLY POSITIONED ON FIREWALL. 8) Install, if necessary, bracket (22) on the firewall - refer to Detail C, with bolts (23) and washers (24). 9) Attach pump (17) and filter (2) assembly onto bracket (22) with bolts (19), washers (20) and new nuts (21). 10) Attach pump (17) onto bracket (14) with clamp (8) and lockwire it. 11) Direct definitely elbow union (31), lock nuts (27) and (30) on the pump while you hold unions (26) and (31). 12) Remove the blanking caps, connect tube (9) to union (5) - refer to 20-00-02. 13) Remove the blanking caps, connect and attach air vent hose (7) to elbow union (18) with clamp (6). 14) Remove the blanking caps, connect hose (3) to elbow union (31) - refer to 20-00-02. ADAD Validity : S / N 1 - 730, "WELDON" pump 28-20-01Page 402 (DG) SEP 02 CAUTION : DO NOT FORGET TO SECURE GROUNDING WIRE. 15) Secure noise filter (16) and grounding wire to bracket (14) with bolt (11), washer (12) and a new nut (13). 16) Connect electrical connector (15). 17) Set fuel selector to "LEFT" or "RIGHT" position. 18) Bleed the fuel system - refer to 12-11-02. CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE SELECTED TANK CONTAINS FUEL BEFORE ACTUATING THE ELECTRIC PUMP. 19) Perform a leakage test with the fuel system pressurized - refer to 28-00-00 and check the fuel pump indicator light on the advisory panel for operation. 20) Check for leaks. 21) Mark with a red paint line unions (5), (18), (26) and (31), nuts of hose (3) and tube (9), nuts (27) and (30), pump (17) and filter (2). 22) Remove the drain pan. 23) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris. 24) Install the engine cowlings - refer to 71-10-01. 25) Perform a test run-up - refer to 05-30-02.
