- Lubricant (TB 06-900) B. Removal of flap actuator (Figure 201) 1) Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open. 2) Install the warning sign prohibiting main switch-breaker operation. WARNING DO NOT OPERATE MAINTENANCE WORK IN PROGRESS 3) Remove the cowling under hull 218. 4) Identify, then disconnect PO43 connector (11) from flap actuator (7), P027 connector (10) and grounding lead (9) from potentiometer (8) and the wires from retracted and extended limit microswitches. 5) Remove and discard cotter pin (13), remove nut (14) and bolt (2). 6) While holding the actuator, unsafety bolts (4). Remove bolts (4), lockplates (5), spacers (6) and washers (12). Discard lockplates (5). 7) Disengage and remove flap actuator (7) from supports (3). C. Installation of flap actuator (Figure 201) 1) Lubricate flap actuator (7) worm screw with lubricant (TB 06-900) and bolt (2) with grease (TB 04-004A). 2) Position flap actuator (7) with washers (12) interposed between the actuator and supports (3). 3) Secure the actuator using bolts (4), new lockplates (5) and spacers (6). Fold up lockplates (5). 4) Engage lever (1) on the actuator, install bolt (2), nut (14) and a new cotter pin (13). 5) Connect the wires to retracted and extended limit microswitches (as identified during removal), P027 connector (10) and grounding lead (9) to potentiometer (8), PO43 connector (11) to flap actuator (7). 6) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris. 7) Close main switch-breaker. 8) Remove the warning sign prohibiting main switch-breaker operation.
