3) Connect electrically - see Figure 202 (1/2).
4) Close "K" switch ; this actuates the clutch and the pulley-capstan rotates ; mark the direction of rotation and, if necessary, reverse the direction through "J".
5) Close "K' and read "Fl" load on dynamometer. This load, reduced by 11 lbs (5 kg) "F2" corresponding to the cable tension, represents the maximum differential load applied by the pulley-capstan. Make sure the clutch slips and the cable does not slide on the pulley-capstan.
NOTE : If the cable slides, increase the weight which tensions the cable until the cable correctly adheres onto the pulley-capstan.
6) Apply the formula : "F" = Fl - F2
F : limit load of the servo-actuator in kg Fl : load read on the dynamometer in kg F2 : weight used to tension the cable in kg
7) Open "K".
8) Compare "F" with the tolerances given in the table, Paragraph 3.D.
9) Reset, if necessary, then safety nut in position - refer to Paragraph 3.C.

C. Setting of servo-actuator load limiter
1) Remove the servo-actuator to test its load limiter on work bench - refer to Paragraph 2.B.
2) Load limitation is defined on the cable. It must be measured with the dynamometer in the rotation plane of the load point, the pull direction must draw a 90° angle with the lever arm.
CAUTION : AFTER SERVO-ACTUATOR LOAD LIMITER SETTING, DO NOT FORGET TO SAFETY THE NUT WITH A COTTER PIN.
THE NUT IS CONSIDERED SAFETIED ONLYAFTER ITS NOTCHES LINE UP WITH ONE OF THE BOLT PIN HOLES. FOR THIS, DO NOT HESITATE TO COMPLETELY REMOVE THE NUT SO AS TO ADD OR REMOVE ONE (OR SEVERAL) WASHER(S) IF NECESSARY.
To modify the setting, remove the cotter pin, tighten to increase the load limit value, loosen to decrease it.
D. Tolerance ranges of maximum loads

E. Operational test
Check operation on aircraft after any work on servo-actuators so as to make sure that no electrical or
mechanical reversal was carried out during corrective action.
1) Tests on ground
a) With the pilot's wheel knob, operate "TRIM UP" :
- trim control wheel rotates rearward (nose up),
- tab trailing edge deflects downward.
b) Operate "TRIM DN" :
- trim control wheel rotates forward (nose down),
- tab trailing edge deflects upward.
c) Operate "TRIM DN" and check that it is possible to manually prevent the movement of the pitch trim
control wheel.
d) Release the electrical pitch trim control.
2) Flight tests
