WARNING : APPLY THE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE OF THE FUEL SYSTEM — REFER TO 28-00-00. 1) Remove engine cowling 121 - refer to 71-10-01. 2) Loosen the clamps that secure pipe (2). 3) Loosen, if necessary, pipe (2) on flow divider (1) side. 4) Disconnect pipe (2) from injector (3). Blank off. 5) Remove injector (3) using a 1/2"-long socket and blank off. 6) Clean injector (3) with cleaning agent (TB 11-003) and dry it with filtered, compressed air. 7) Check injector (3) for condition. Replace it if necessary. WA Validity : S / N 1 - 9999 73-10-02Page 401 (BA) SEP 02 2. INSTALLATION OF AN INJECTOR (Figure 401) A. Tools and consumable materials - Torque wrench 0 - 177 lbf.in (0 - 20 N.m) - Socket, length 1/2" - Red paint B. Procedure WARNING : PRIOR TO ANY OPERATION, ENSURE THAT THE ENGINE, EXHAUST PIPE AND MANIFOLDS ARE COLD. IF NOT, TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO AVOID SEVERE BURNS. WARNING : APPLY THE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE OF THE FUEL SYSTEM — REFER TO 28-00-00. 1) Remove the blanking plug and install injector (3). Torque - refer to 20-00-01. NOTE : There is an identification punch mark on the injector hexagonal body. During injector installation, the mark must be upwards on cylinder side. 2) Remove the blanking plug and connect pipe (2) to injector (3). Tighten slightly. 3) If loose, tighten pipe (2) on flow divider (1) side. 4) Tighten the clamps that secure pipe (2). 5) Set fuel selector to "LEFT" or "RIGHT" position. CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE SELECTED TANK CONTAINS FUEL BEFORE ACTUATING THE ELECTRIC PUMP. 6) Perform a leakage test with the fuel system pressurized - refer to 28-00-00. 7) Check for leaks. 8) If necessary, mark with a red paint line nut of pipe (2) on flow divider (1) side. 9) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris. 10) Install engine cowling 121 - refer to 71-10-01. 11) Perform a test run-up - refer to 05-30-02.
