FUEL FLOW INDICATOR
ADJUSTMENT / TEST
1. ADJUSTMENT OF FUEL FLOW INDICATOR (Figure 501)
NOTE : Apply this adjustment procedure imperatively when you replace flow transmitter or fuel flow indicator.
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Ground power unit
B. Procedure
1) Record "K" factor (3) displayed on flow transmitter (2).
2) Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open.
3) Remove fuel flow indicator (1) without disconnecting it.
4) Remove and discard "CAUTION" red adhesive label (4).
5) Make sure the graduated thumbwheels are set to the following positions :
- SW1 set to "F",
- SW2 set to "F",
- SW3 set to "0",
- SW4 set to "0".
CAUTION : DO NOT CHANGE THE POSITION OF SW1, SW3 AND SW4 GRADUATED THUMBWHEELS FOR PROGRAMMING.
6) Set SW2 graduated thumbwheel to "E". The fuel flow indicator is in calibrate mode, group 1 and group 2 data can be programmed.
7) Connect the ground power unit - refer to 24-40-00.
8) Close main switch-breaker.
9) Perform a check sequence of fuel flow indicator (1) - refer to Tables below. Depress "USED" switch to change the indication.
