NOTE : To avoid control (7) oxidation, replace jam nut (28) and boot (29) by a protective sleeve (25) - refer to Illustrated Parts Catalog.
1) Check control (7), grommet (20) and clamps (16) and (17) for condition. Replace them if necessary.
2) Lubricate clevis pin (3) and bolt (31) with grease (TB 04-004A).
3) Engage control (7) into grommet (20) up to pedestal bulkhead (10). Install nut (12) and a new lockwasher (11) on control (7).
4) Engage control (7) into pedestal bulkhead (10), install a new lockwasher (9) and nut (8) on control (7), then tighten nuts (8) and (12).
5) Fully screw jam nut (6) on control (7).
6) Screw fork end (2) on control (7) until the control threaded rod is flush with the inside of the fork end -refer to Detail D.
7) Tighten jam nut (6).
8) Attach fork end (2) onto control lever (1) with clevis pin (3), washer (4) and a new cotter pin (5).
9) Lubricate control (7) - refer to 12-21-02.
10) Install the control pedestal - refer to 25-14-00.
11) Route control (7) as marked during removal.
12) Make sure nut (22) is installed and engage control (7) into bracket (23).
13) Install nut (24). Do not tighten nuts (22) and (24).
14) Fully screw protective sleeve (25) and swivel rod end (26) on control (7). Do not lock them.
15) Set throttle and mixture control levers to front stop.

16) Set control lever (1) to front stop, slightly pull it backwards and align it with throttle and mixture control levers.
17) Set lever (27) to full low pitch stop.
18) Position swivel rod end (26) on lever (27). If necessary actuate on nuts (22) and (24) and/or unscrew swivel rod end (26) until bolt (31), washer (30), lever (27), washer (32), swivel rod end (26) and washer (33) can be assembled freely.
19) Make sure control (7) thread is visible through inspection hole (35).
20) Install a new nut (34).
21) Hold swivel rod end (26) and tighten protective sleeve (25).
CAUTION : LEVER (27) MUST REACH MECHANICAL STOP ON THE PROPELLER GOVERNOR BEFORE CONTROL LEVER (1) REACHES MECHANICAL STOP ON THE CONTROL PEDESTAL.
22) Operate control lever (1) twice or three times and make sure that lever (27) is correctly controlled, that it reaches mechanical stop on the propeller governor before control lever (1) reaches mechanical stop on the control pedestal and that all the control levers are aligned in front and rear stops.
NOTE : If necessary, actuate on nuts (8) and (12) and/or screw or unscrew fork end (2) by one turn and a half max. to adjust control lever (1) position.
23) Lock nuts (22) and (24). Lockwire them.
24) Install clamp (17) with washer (19) and a new blind rivet (18) — refer to 51-40-02.
25) Install clamp (16) with bolt (15), washer (14) and a new nut (13).
