PROPELLER ASSEMBLY
REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
1. REMOVAL OF THE NOT DE-ICED PROPELLER (Figure 401)
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Removal/installation tool for three-blade propeller, P/N TB97400ZTB2000300P0240
- Blanking caps
B. Procedure
WARNING : PRIOR TO ANY OPERATION, ENSURE THAT THE KEY IS REMOVED FROM MAGNETO SELECTOR AND THAT "MAIN SWITCH" IS OFF.
IF AIRCRAFT IS EQUIPPED WITH DISCONNECT PLUG ON FIREWALL, DISCONNECT "MAGNETO DISCONNECT" PLUG AND CONNECT IT TO "GROUND MAGNETO FOR SERVICING" PLUG.
1) Remove the key from the magneto selector.
2) Remove the engine cowlings - refer to 71-10-01.
3) Remove screws (3), washers (2) and spinner (14).
4) Position removal/installation tool for three-blade propeller, P/N TB97400ZTB2000300P0240.
5) Cut off lockwire, unscrew bolts (13) equipped with nuts (12) and remove propeller (4).
6) Discard 0-ring (8) and blank off.
7) Disassemble propeller (4), if necessary.
a) Remove and discard nuts (9), remove washers (10), engine side bulkhead (6) and spacers (11).
2. INSTALLATION OF THE NOT DE-ICED PROPELLER (Figure 401)
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Torque wrench 0 - 885 lbf.in (0 - 100 N.m)
- Removal/installation tool for three-blade propeller, P/N TB97400ZTB2000300P0240
- Red paint
- Stainless steel lockwire, dia. 0.032 in (0.8 mm)
B. Procedure
1) Check spinner (14), cylinder side bulkhead (1) and engine side bulkhead (6) for cracks and distortions.
2) Check bolts (13) condition for absence of damage or corrosion. Replace them if necessary.
3) Assemble propeller (4), if necessary.
