CAUTION : OXYGEN SYSTEM SERVICING MUST BE PERFORMED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. 1. CHECK OF OXYGEN SYSTEM TIGHTNESS A. Tools and consumable materials None B. Procedure 1) Check tightness of oxygen system one hour minimum after oxygen cylinder charging to avoid pressure variations due to oxygen temperature variations. 2) Make sure that the main switch-breaker is open. 3) Set the cabin oxygen control lever to "ON". 4) Check tightness of oxygen system on the cabin pressure gage. Any leak is detected by a decrease of the pressure value indicated by the pressure gage. NOTE : Check duration is approximately one hour. 5) If a leak is found, perform leak test - see Page 501. 6) Set cabin oxygen control lever to "OFF". 2. CHECK OF OXYGEN SYSTEM A. Tools and consumable materials None B. Procedure 1) Check system for cleanliness. 2) Check oxygen cylinder for : - corrosion, - shocks or distorsions, - attachment condition. 3) Check pipes and unions for : - corrosion, - shocks, distorsions or friction, - presence of teflon tape and white paint marks. 4) Check tightness of oxygen system - see Paragraph 1. 5) Check that oxygen cylinder ventilation is correct. CAUTION : OXYGEN SYSTEM SERVICING MUST BE PERFORMED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. 1. REPLACEMENT OF A PIPE AND/OR UNION ON OXYGEN SYSTEM A. Tools and consumable materials - Blanking caps and plugs - Cleaning agent (TB 11-913) - Teflon tape (TB 09-901) - Nitrogen (TB 05-913) - Steam degreaser - White paint B. Procedure 1) Apply the oxygen system servicing procedure - refer to 35-00-00. 2) Remove defective pipe and/or union. Install blanking caps and plugs on pipes and unions as soon as they are disconnected to avoid system contamination. 3) Before installation of a pipe and/or union, clean, degrease and dry the component : a) Clean and degrease pipe and/or union with cleaning agent (TB 11-913) by immersion or using steam degreaser. b) Carefully dry pipe and/or union with nitrogen (TB 05-913).
