4) If brake plate (12) is installed, cut off and discard lockwire. 5) Loosen bolt (13) and disengage control (3) of cable grip (14) and sheath grip (10). 6) Disconnect capillary line (1) from HP union (2) and discard 0-ring (16). Install blanking caps and plugs. 7) Disconnect hose (7) from LP union (8). Install blanking caps and plugs. 8) Cut off and discard lockwire of clamps (9). 9) Hold oxygen cylinder (6), unscrew and separate clamps (9). 10) Remove oxygen cylinder (6). 2. INSTALLATION OF THE OXYGEN CYLINDER (Figures 401 and 401A) A. Tools and consumable materials - Stainless steel lockwire dia. 0.032 in (0.8 mm) - Red paint B. Procedure 1) Apply the oxygen system servicing procedure - see Page 301. 2) Check control (3) and grommet (11) for correct condition. Replace them if necessary. 3) Discard nuts (4) and install new nuts. Do not tighten. Without adjustable stops 4) Position oxygen cylinder (6) into supports (5) and tighten clamps (9). 5) Make sure gap between oxygen cylinder (6) and shims (15) is between 0.12 and 0.15 in (3 and 4 mm) -see Detail C. Adjust oxygen cylinder position, if necessary. With adjustable stops 4) Position stops (17) in contact with shims (15). 5) Position oxygen cylinder (6) into supports (5) and tighten clamps (9). 6) Make sure oxygen cylinder is centered with regards to stops. Adjust its position if necessary. 7) Position stops (17) in contact with oxygen cylinder (6). 8) Mark stop position (17) with a red paint line. All 9) Make sure cabin oxygen control lever is set to "OFF". 10) Engage control (3) into sheath grip (10) and cable grip (14). 11) Tighten nuts (4) and bolts (13). 12) If brake plate (12) is installed, lockwire bolt (13). 13) Remove blanking caps and plugs, connect hose (7) on LP union (8) - refer to 20-00-02. 14) Remove blanking caps and plugs, install a new 0-ring (16) on capillary line (1) end fitting. 15) Connect carefully capillary line (1) to HP union (2) - refer to 20-00-02. 16) Lockwire clamps (9). 17) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris. 18) If necessary, charge the oxygen cylinder - refer to 12-16-00. 19) Perform a leak test and an operational test of the oxygen system - see Page 501. 20) Close the access door 219. 3. REMOVAL OF AN OXYGEN CONNECTING PLUG (Figures 402 and 402A) A. Tools and consumable materials - Teflon tape (TB 09-901) - Blanking caps and plugs B.
