4) Disengage oxygen distribution assembly (3) from upper duct (1). Without plate assembly 5) Remove defective connecting plug (4). Remove teflon tape and install blanking caps and plugs. 6) Remove union (5) and cap (6) (if installed) of defective connecting plug (4). Remove teflon tape. 7) Install union (5) and cap (6) (if installed) with teflon tape (TB 09-901) on new connecting plug (4). Torque - refer to 20-00-01. With plate assembly 5) Remove defective connecting plug (4). Remove teflon tape and install a blanking cap or plug. 6) Remove cap (6) of defective connecting plug (4). Remove teflon tape. INSTALLATION OF AN OXYGEN CONNECTING PLUG (Figures 402 and 402A) A. Tools and consumable materials - Teflon tape (TB 09-901) - Surface plate White paint B. Procedure 1) Apply the oxygen system servicing procedure - see Page 301. 2) Remove blanking caps and plugs, install connecting plug (4) with teflon tape (TB 09-901). 3) Install oxygen distribution assembly (3) on a surface plate and check for connecting plug (4) perpendicularity. Adjust its position if necessary. 4) Install nuts (7) and (8) against connecting plug (4) body - see Detail A. 5) Position oxygen distribution assembly (3) on upper duct (1). 6) Screw covers (9) until they are flush with upper part of connecting plugs (4). 7) Tighten nuts (8) and (7). 8) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris. 9) Install upper duct - refer to 25-15-00. NOTE : With white paint, mark pipe unions, caps and nuts.
