B. Procedure
1) Before installation, check for condition :
seals (8), replace them if necessary. Bond them with adhesive (TB 08-006A),
- tray (5) coatings,
- box around the battery,
discharge fitting,
- tray attachments,
- grommets (3), replace them if necessary,
- fasteners,
- keep alive fuse (if installed) (11).
2) If removed, install tray (5).

3) Protect, if necessary, tray (5) interior with protection product (TB 05-918).
4) With strap (2), install battery (6) into its tray (5).
5) Position lugs (1) and (4).
6) Lubricate lugs with petrolatum (TB 04-012).
7) Install inspection door (9) 243 and lock it.
8) Install carpet (7).
9) Close the baggage compartment.

BATTERY
REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
1. REMOVAL OF THE BATTERY (Figure 401)
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Battery strap
B. Procedure
WARNING : DISCONNECT ANY AUXILIARY POWER SUPPLY BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY.
1) Remove inspection door (1) 211R.
2) Remove cover (2). To do this, remove and retain screws (10).
3) Disconnect lugs (4) and (5) on terminals (3) and (7) of battery (8).
4) Using the strap, remove battery (8) from its tray (6).
WARNING : IF AN AUXILIARY POWER SUPPLY IS USED, INSULATE BATTERY LUGS WITH RUBBER OR PLASTIC MATERIAL.
5) Remove tray (6), if necessary - refer to 24-30-04.
2. INSTALLATION OF THE BATTERY (Figure 401)
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Protection product (TB 05-918)
- Battery strap
- Petrolatum (TB 04-012)
- Adhesive (TB 08-006A)
B. Procedure
1) Before installation, check for condition :
- seals (9) ; replace them if necessary. Bond them with adhesive (TB 08-006A),
- tray (6) coatings,
