NOTE : - Both "PANEL" and "INST." rheostats operate and modulate lighting ; from high position "OFF", turn clockwise for "FULL INTENSITY OPERATION" then still clockwise, modulate towards "MINIMUM INTENSITY", turn back to "OFF" position turning counterclockwise.
"EMER LIGHT" rheostat modulates lighting ; from high position "FULL INTENSITY" turn clockwise to modulate towards "MINIMUM INTENSITY" ; turn back to high position "FULL INTENSITY" turning counterclockwise .

INSPECTION / CHECK 1. CHECK OF DOOR MICROSWITCH (Figure 601)
A. Tools and consumable materials
None
B. Procedure
1) Aircraft equipped with 2 rear overhead lights
a) Check that the microswitch (2) opens when the L.H . handles are "open", the rear overhead lights must come on in one of their two positions.
b) When the L.H. handles are "closed", the microswitch (2) closes, the rear overhead lights must go off in one of their two positions.
2) Aircraft equipped with one rear overhead light
a) Check that the microswitch (2) opens when the L.H. handles are "open", the rear overhead light must come on if it is in its central position (three overhead light possible directions) .
b) When the L.H. handles are "closed", the microswitch (2) closes, the rear overhead light must go off if it is in its central position.
c) Adjust, if necessary, the microswitch (2) position. The adjustment can be performed by shifting the attaching screws (1) inside the apertures (3).
NOTE : The main switch does not need to be "ON" for this circuit to operate. Otherwise, check for the "Keep Alive" fuse condition - refer to 24-30-00
