- up position (pull the lever and move it upwards) : "MANUAL" Above the switch, associated to the "MANUAL" position, is the brightness adjusting rheostat. 4. OPERATION A. Automatic operation For this operation, the panel control switch is on "AUTO" position. The light spots are off in this configuration. If the shock detector is released, the setting potentiometer is inhibited and the whole voltage is applied on both front light spots. When the shock detector is released, it can be reactivated : - either with the panel control switch by performing a test sequence, - or with the emergency battery "TEST"push-button, by performing a test sequence. B. Manual operation For this operation, the panel control switch is on "MANUAL". This function is used by the pilot : - either in case of shock detector failure, - or in case of a shock not related with the detector curve, - or to proceed to light spot brightness adjustment. When the manual mode is selected, a shock detection switches it to "AUTO". When the instrument panel switch is on "MANUAL" position, the light spot adjustment is possible whatever the position of the main switch. C. Test sequence It can be reached : - by tilting the control switch to "TEST", - by using the emergency battery "TEST" push-button . The test sequence lasts five seconds. While the test sequence is proceeded : - the emergency battery applies its full voltage to the three lighting spots. So the pilot can visualize the system proper operation, - during this discharge, the battery voltage is compared to that which is necessary for the twenty-minute autonomy. - a too low voltage will illuminate the amber indicator light on the instrument panel. - the green indicator light located on the emergency battery illuminates for sixteen seconds. When the test sequence is done, the amber indicator light will stay off if the battery is correctly charged or will illuminate if not. 14334001AAADVZ4200 Emergency lighting AAAA 1 - Control panel ® 1 - Emergency battery |
