ONLY THE POWER PLANT + FUSELAGE + STABILIZERS ASSEMBLY MAY BE HOISTED WITH THIS TOOL. 1. REMOVAL OF THE WINGS (Figure 401) A. Tools and consumable materials - 2 fuselage padded supports - 2 wing padded supports, P / N TB10 99000911 - Blanking caps and plugs - Clean lintfree cloth - Cleaning agent (TB 11-003) B. Procedure 1) Drain L.H. and R.H. fuel tanks - refer to 12-11-02. 2) Remove engine cowling 121 - refer to 71-10-01. 3) Position the hoisting device over the aircraft - refer to 07-20-00. Pre-MOD. 151 4) Remove the cowlings under hull and the front junction fairings. Post-MOD. 151 4) Remove the cowlings under hull, the footstep fairings and the front junction fairings. 5) Remove the L.H. and R.H. footstep control cables - refer to 53-70-00. 6) Disconnect the L.H. and R.H. footstep springs - refer to 53-70-00, and hold the L.H. and R.H. footsteps in "retracted" position with tie-wraps. 7) Remove the footstep fairing attachment brackets from the L.H. and R.H. wheel housings. S / N 1 - 9999 Remove front and rear bulkheads from wheel housings. Place two padded supports under the wings, at a rib. Drain the landing gear hydraulic system - refer to 12-13-04 and disconnect the main landing gear actuator hoses on the fuselage. Blank off. Disconnect the flap control rods from the main bellcrank - refer to 27-50-00, retain the attaching parts and discard the cotter pins. Clear the rods from the bellcrank. Drain the brake hydraulic system - refer to 12-13-02. Disconnect the brake system at wing / fuselage junction. Blank off. Disconnect the fuel system at wing / fuselage junction. Blank off. S / N 1 - 9999 57 00 00Page 401 (EA) JUN 02 15) Disconnect the aileron control rods from the lever at the aircraft centerline, retain the attaching parts and discard the cotter pins. 16) Disconnect the wing electrical circuits at wing / fuselage junction. 17) Drain the air conditioning system (if installed) - refer to 12-15-02. 18) If necessary, disconnect the high and low pressure hoses from the air conditioning system.
