Procedure CAUTION POSITION BEARING ASSEMBLY (13) SO AS TO DIRECT GREASE NIPPLE DOWNWARDS AND TO THE ROOT. 1) Position bearing assembly (13) and secure it with bolts (15) and washers (14). Torque according to "Specific cases" tightening procedure - refer to 20-00-01. CAUTION : POSITION BEARING ASSEMBLY (17) SO AS TO DIRECT GREASE NIPPLE DOWNWARDS AND TO THE ROOT. 2) Position shim (19), counterplate (18) and bearing assembly (17) and secure them with bolts (16), washers (20) and new nuts (21). Torque according to "Specific cases" tightening procedure - refer to 20-00-01. 3) Mark bolts (15) and (16) with a red paint line. Install new cotter pins (34) and (36). 5) Install the main landing gear - refer to 32-10-00. 6) Lubricate bearing assemblies (13) and (17) with grease (TB 04-004A) - refer to 12-21-05. 7) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris. 8) Install the inspection door (511) [611]. 9) Lower the aircraft to ground and remove the jacks - refer to 07-10-00. 3. REMOVAL OF THE STRUT BEARING (Figure 401) A. Tools and consumable materials - Cleaning agent (TB 11-003) - Spatula - Clean lintfree cloths B. Procedure 1) Jack up the aircraft - refer to 07-10-00. 2) Remove the cowling under hull 218F. 3) Remove the hinged strut of the main landing gear - refer to 32-30-03. 4) Remove bolts (12) and washers (11). 5) Remove and discard nut (2), remove washer (1) and bolt (10). 6) Remove and discard nuts (7), remove washers (8) and bolts (9). 7) Remove strut bearing (22). 8) Remove the sealant with a spatula and clean the surfaces with a clean lintfree cloth moistened with cleaning agent (TB 11-003). 4.
