K59 relay is electrically supplied by "BUS 3" bar and protected by a 2-Ampere "CB 58" circuit breaker. K59 relay is located on the electromechanical vacuum pump support, on the R.H. side.
C. By-pass valve
The by-pass valve provides connection between the normal distribution system and the emergency distribution system.
The by-pass valve is equipped with two MT23 and MT24 pressure switches for indicating. The by-pass valve is located between the firewall and the regulating valve.

REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
1. REMOVAL OF THE REGULATING VALVE (Figure 401)
A. Tools and consumable materials
- Blanking caps and plugs
B. Procedure
1) If installed, remove inspection door 211L. Otherwise, remove engine cowling 121 and inspection door 212L - refer to 06-30-00 and 71-10-01.
2) Loosen clamps (1) and disconnect hoses (2). Blank off.
3) Loosen clamps (8) and remove hose (9). Blank off.
4) Remove nut (7) and shim (6).
5) Remove regulating valve (3).
6) If necessary, remove and discard regulating valve filter (4).
2. INSTALLATION OF THE REGULATING VALVE (Figure 401)
A. Tools and consumable materials
None
B. Procedure
1) Remove blanking caps and plugs.
2) If removed, install a new filter (4) on regulating valve (3).
3) Connect hose (9) to by-pass valve (10). Install both clamps (8).
4) Install regulating valve (3) on support (5), install shim (6) and nut (7) then connect the end fitting to hose (9).
5) Connect hoses (2). Moderately tighten clamps (1) and (8).
6) Make sure all the tools and materials are removed and the work area is clean and free from debris.
7) Install inspection door 211L (if installed). Otherwise, install inspection door 212L and engine cowling 121 - refer to 71-10-01.
8) Test the emergency distribution system - refer to Page 501.
