C. By-pass valve
The by-pass valve provides connection between the normal distribution system and the emergency distribution system.
The by-pass valve is equipped with two MT23 and MT24 pressure switches for indicating. The by-pass valve is located between the firewall and the regulating valve.

EMERGENCY DISTRIBUTION
DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1. GENERAL
In addition to the normal system, the aircraft can be equipped with an emergency vacuum system which supplies the power necessary for the operation of the gyroscopic instruments and of the directional gyro indicator in case of failure of the normal system pump.
The system consists of :
- B59 electromechanical vacuum pump,
- K59 relay,
- by-pass valve,
- the normal distribution system assembly,
- S59 "AUX SUCT" switch.
The system is electrically supplied by "BUS 3" bar.

3. DESCRIPTION
A. B59 electromechanical vacuum pump
The electromechanical vacuum pump supplies the gyroscopic instruments with the vacuum necessary for their operation in case of failure of the mechanical vacuum pump.
The electromechanical vacuum pump is electrically supplied by "BUS 3" bar and protected by a 10-Ampere "CB 59" circuit breaker.
The electromechanical vacuum pump is located under the cabin floor, on the L.H. side.
B. K59 relay
The electromechanical vacuum pump is electrically supplied via K59 relay, controlled by S59 "AUX SUCT" switch. K59 relay is located on the electromechanical vacuum pump support.
